Upstream Willy

When the King of Cling came,
Willy took off his socks,
let them fly right on by,
and he said, "On these rocks..."

"I have clung all my life
while the river flows by.
I must learn how to fly!"
The crowd cried, "You will die!"

The King said, "You're out
of your wet, soggy brain.
To uncling from your rock,
that would be most insane!"

To the crowd and the King,
Willy said, "I'll explore.
I'll just go with the flow,
where I've not been before."

"But it's been this way, ALWAYS!"
the King of Cling said.
"Not one Clinger's seen
just what lies up ahead."
