Upstream Willy

Willy let go
of his last clinging shoe.
He let go of his hat,
and away he then flew.

He rolled and he tumbled,
he swirled and he twirled.
Fast up and away
through the water he whirled.
With a smash and a crash
on a rock he was hurled.

"Ouch!" Willy cried,
I just might have been wrong.
I might should have stayed
where I was all along."

He clutched at the weeds
as he swiftly rushed by.
But they broke and he said,
"If I'm going to die,
I might as well first,
try to learn how to fly!"
